We are seeking 2 to 3 qualified Hospitalist Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Petaluma, California. This inpatient opportunity offers a highly structured shift schedule, a lucrative night-shift differential, and an expedited 30-to-60-day credentialing process for providers with completely clean files.
Position Overview

- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Inpatient Care Only (No standalone call)
- Shift Configurations: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 12 hours per day
- Overtime Policy: Overtime applies after 12 hours per day and must be pre-approved by the Medical Director via text or email by the end of the shift.
September 2026 Shift Availability
- Day Shifts (7A–7P): 9/1, 9/6, 9/13
- Night Shifts (7P–7A): 9/1, 9/4–9/8, 9/10, 9/13, 9/15–9/17, 9/18–9/23, 9/26–9/28, 9/30
Requirements & Qualifications
- Board Certification: Board Eligible (BE) within 3–5 years of residency completion.
- Licensure: Active California (CA) medical license and active DEA.
- Required Certifications: Life Support (LS/BLS) credentials.
- Strict "Clean File" Requirement: To accommodate the September start date via expedited privileges, candidates must have a completely clean file. Providers with past malpractice settlements, DUIs, drug/substance issues, clinical restrictions, hospital terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible.
