Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity in California

LOCUM- Gastroenterology 

We are looking for about 4 providers to help with coverage starting July 1, 2025. We do have approval for emergency privileges. Providers must have an active CA license and be BC in Gastroenterology. They will cover inpatient and ED gastroenterology consults and run the GI consult service in house. 

Looking for 1 week on 1 week off availability. 

Hours are 7am-7am with around 7 hours of onsite time. 

Call during onsite hours will be included and then once onsite. Any call back hours where the provider is physically called back in after night call starts can be billed immediately. 

Providers see an average of 9 consults a day. ERCP is required and EUS is preferred. 

In 2024 there were 3252 unique encounters with GI consult notes, 1576 inpatient scopes in 2024(6.7% of total scopes needed ERCP. 2.2% of total scopes needed EUS).
