General Cardiologist - Locum Tenens (California)
?We're looking for a Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) General Cardiologist (within 5 years of fellowship) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity starting October 1, 2025. This role combines clinic responsibilities with call coverage, requiring commitment for 1-2 weeks per month.

- Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10 hours per day).
- You'll potentially be on call one week per month. When on call, it will involve clinic duties plus night call (Monday-Friday) and 24-hour weekend call.
- Guaranteed Hours: 10 hours per day.
- Overtime (OT): Overtime applies after 10 hours per day and must be approved by clinical operations.
- Patient Volume: Expect to see 18-20 patients per shift.
- EMR System: We use Epic for our electronic medical records.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active California (CA) license and active CA DEA are required.
- Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) within 5 years of fellowship.
- Availability: Must be able to cover 1-2 weeks per month.
Credentialing & Onboarding
- Temporary Privileges: We can potentially facilitate temporary privileges if you have a clean file, which could expedite your start. Otherwise, the credentialing timeline is closer to 90-120 days.
- Application Process: The Request for Application (RFA) should be returned within 48-72 hours of receipt, and the full application within 5 days. Please note, the privileging timeline begins only after the complete application is submitted.
