We are seeking a Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for a long-term, recurring locum assignment in Eureka, California. The facility requires 1 to 2 weeks of monthly coverage (7–14 shifts per month) to support their permanent team. To ensure a smooth transition, incoming providers will work day shifts alongside the permanent medical staff for the first few weeks to learn the facility's workflow before being integrated into the night and weekend rotation.
????Clinical Schedule & Evolving Shift Structure
- Shift Pacing: Weekday shifts vary dynamically from 8 to 12 hours.
- Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours guaranteed per day; Overtime (OT) applies after 12 hours worked per day and must be approved by the Medical Director before the end of the shift.
- Flexibility Requirement: Providers must be fully willing to cover nights and weekends.
Specialized Hybrid Shifts & Billing Protocols
The facility utilizes a combined in-house and call shift billing architecture:
- OB Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM): * In-House: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- On-Call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 7:00 AM): * In-House: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- On-Call: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Call Profile: 24-Hour Weekend Beeper Call.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Eligible (BE) Anesthesiologist.
- Licensure: Active California (CA) Medical License and valid federal DEA.
