??Position Highlights & Requirements
We are seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing monthly weekday call coverage in Arkansas (5 days/month, Monday through Friday).
- Licensure: Active Arkansas (AR) State Medical License required.
- Certifications: Board Certified (BC) in Interventional Cardiology, active ACLS, ATLS, and BLS.
- EHR System: EPIC.
- Background Requirement: must have a clean malpractice record and clean NPDB report.
- Response Times: 1-hour response time for in-house non-emergent consults; under 30 minutes for acute emergency/STEMI activation.
Clinical Scope & Daily Volume
- Inpatient Workload: Average of 20–25 calls per 24-hour shift; 15–20 patients seen per shift.
- Admissions: Zero routine admissions (all general admissions are handled by the hospitalist service). The Interventional Cardiologist admits STEMI patients only.
- Call Structure: 100% in-house coverage for staff/hospitalist consults. No patient callbacks.
