- Locum Tenens Physician Opportunity – PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation)
- Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician for a full-time locum tenens assignment
- The facility is seeking consistent, ongoing coverage to support inpatient rehabilitation services while recruiting for permanent physician staff.

Schedule
- Coverage Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Assignment Dates: August 15, 2026 – March 31, 2027
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call Requirement: None
- Minimum Commitment: 4 weeks per month
- 46 acute inpatient rehabilitation beds
- Collaborative physician care model
- Hospitalist attending physicians with PM&R physicians serving in a consulting role
- Multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams focused on high-quality patient outcomes
This collaborative structure allows providers to practice at the highest level of their specialty expertise while maintaining manageable patient volumes and strong clinical support.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage a rehabilitation patient panel of up to 23 patients
- Conduct inpatient rehabilitation consultations and follow-up care
- See rehabilitation patients a minimum of 3 times per week in accordance with CMS regulations
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, therapy teams, nursing staff, and case management
- Support comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation treatment planning and patient progression
- Qualifications
- Required
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Active Alaska License, IMLC, or Alaska Temporary License
- Active DEA Registration
Preferred
- Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience
- Strong collaborative and interdisciplinary communication skills
