Position: Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist (Clinic & Elective Procedures)
EMR: Epic
Start Date: November 1, 2026 (Ongoing / Credentialing Pipeline)
Credentialing Timeline: ~90 Days (Starting ASAP to build provider bench)
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Coverage Type: Clinic & Scheduled Procedures Only (No Call required)
- Shift Times: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Rotation Model: Open to 1 week ON / 1 week OFF rotations (seeking 1–3 providers to split total 1.0 FTE coverage)
- Orientation: 1-day onsite orientation with Epic support provided
Practice Model & Workload
- Work Breakdown: Preferred ratio of 1 day in clinic and 4 days of scheduled procedures per week (flexible)
- Procedure Volume: 10–14 procedures per day in 3 brand-new endoscopy suites supported by skilled endo teams
- Specialized Procedures: ERCP and EUS NOT required (not performed at this facility)
- Clinic Support: APC support available in clinic
- Inpatient Context: Inpatient census averages 28–30 Med-Surg patients and 3–4 ICU/IMCU patients
- Anesthesia Support: Available for conscious sedation on select block schedule days
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified (BC) in Gastroenterology
- Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS certifications
- Licensure: Active State Medical License required (Act 10 state license accepted)
