Job Description: Locums Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

Location: Williamsport, PA

Start Date: 2/10/2025 - Ongoing

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Locums Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to provide full-time hospital coverage in Williamsport, PA. This role requires a compassionate clinician to manage a diverse patient mix, including neuro, trauma, and orthopedic cases.

Schedule/Shift :

• February 10-14 (day coverage only)
• February 17-23 (day coverage and night call)
• February 24-28 (day coverage only)
• April 21-27 (day coverage and night call)
• April 28 – May 1 (day coverage only)
• May 18 (day coverage and night call)
• May 19-23 (day coverage only)
• May 26-30 (date coverage only)
• June 9-13 (day coverage only)
• June 30 – July 4 (day coverage only)
• July 7-11 (day coverage only)
• August 4-8 (day coverage only)
• August 11-17 (day coverage and night call)

Coverage Schedule:

• Shift: M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Night Call: 4:30 PM - 8:00 AM, with occasional weekend rounds.
• Call Week: Includes night call Monday to Friday and daytime rounding on weekends.

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible - REQUIRED
• Active PA License or willing to obtain - REQUIRED
• PA DEA - REQUIRED
• Minimum 1 year of experience - REQUIRED

Position Responsibilities:

• Rounding on inpatient rehab patients (up to 20)
• Completing inpatient consults (4-5 per day)
• Managing 2-3 admissions per day
• Collaborating with support staff; candidates will not work solo

Patient Demographics:

• Age: 18+
• Patient Mix: Neuro (60%), Trauma (30%), Other (10%)
• Typical Cases: Brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, myopathies, and cardiac patients.
