Urology call coverage for Level II Trauma center and Hospital
Average Worked Callback Hours: 1- 2 hours
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- Nov 26 – Nov 30; 7a – 7a
- Dec 24 – Dec 28; 7a – 7a
- Setting: Emergency Dept./Surgery
- FTE: 1
- Duties: Cover Urology call - get handoff from Urologists if appropriate
- Required Procedures: General Urology
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: Surgery nurses and techs. on call
- Reason for Coverage: previous locum scheduled cancelled stint
- Deal breakers (do not present this): Not willing to learn EPIC
Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: 3-4 weeks minimum
- Requirements: M.D. or D.O.; DEA; NE license; case logs from last 2 years
- Credentialing with other facilities? No
- Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less?: No - they will need to be enrolled with our payors so that we can bill under their own name.
Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
- On average, how busy is the call volume per day? (Consults vs. callbacks?): Will have days with no consults for urology out of the ED. However, there are other days where there may be 4 or 5
- Is the Urologist responsible for admissions or will the hospitalists be covering admits? Hospitalists admit patients
