Hematology Oncology Locums Opportunity in Mason City, Iowa- $500 hourly
Job Description:
Locums Hematology Oncology in Mason City, Iowa where Outpatient coverage and call is needed. Here are some of the details:
DATES OF COVERAGE:
- starting Mid-February or early March-Ongoing
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday: 8-9 hour days
- Coverage needed at least 15-18 days per month, can be flexible. will include a rotation of weeknight and weekend call
- Open to hybrid on-site/remote, but need someone on-site more often than remote.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Board Certified or Eligible - Hem/Onc or IM with subspecialty cert in Hem/Onc (Must be ABIM or AOA) - REQUIRED
- Certifications: BLS - REQUIRED
- Active Iowa license (will also accept IMLC) - REQUIRED
- Management of VAD/CV Catheters & Intrathecal chemo- REQUIRED
- Participation in tumor boards, order tests, order images, prescribes-REQUIRED
- Must have proof of COVID-19 vaccine - REQUIRED
DETAILS:
- Functions as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist
- EMR: Mosaiq and Cerner
- Setting: Outpatient
- Will There be Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage? 2
- How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 5
- Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office)?: 12-15 per day
- Call schedule: 1:4
- Chemotherapy administration is done by the nurses
- Working in a free-standing cancer center
- Adult patient population
- 50% Hem / 50% Onc
Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $500 hourly.
