Description : Position Overview
Mease Countryside Hospital is seeking experienced Locum Pediatric Hospitalists to provide inpatient pediatric coverage. This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in providing focused inpatient care through a structured 24-hour shift schedule.
Schedule & Coverage
- 24-hour shifts, including weekends.
- In-house coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12 hours).
- Home call (beeper-based): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12 hours).
- Anticipated need for 2–3 physicians to support ongoing coverage requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient pediatric care to hospitalized pediatric patients.
- Manage and oversee the care of pediatric inpatients during assigned shifts.
- Provide overnight beeper-based home call coverage.
- Support weekend coverage as scheduled.
- Focus exclusively on inpatient pediatric services.
Note: This position does not include outpatient responsibilities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Florida medical license required at the time of submission.
- Completion of required credentialing and privileging prior to the start of the assignment.
