Hospital is looking for a locum vascular surgeon to help provide the team with coverage starting Oct 2026. Call coverage for vascular surgery includes surgical treatment of blunt and other vascular trauma.
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- All stints below end the following morning at 7a.
- Oct 7-11
- Ongoing dates will begin in Jan 2027 when schedules are released
Details:
- 24 hour call to include 4 gratis hours (7a-7a)
- Setting: Call Trauma Level II
- Average # of days per month: 10-12
- FTE: 1.0
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Abdominal Open/Endovascular
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: None
- Reason for Coverage: Locums coverage for existing surgeons' time off.
- Dealbreakers (Do Not Present): lack of availability for all dates
EMR Required Training:
- Credentialing (standard) Preapp and full app must be completed and submitted to move provider into "applicant in training" to generate AD account and begin EMR account set up. Once AD account creation begins it can take up to 5 days to create account.
- Module (learn lessons) – Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
- EMR Virtual (PPL) training – Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed at least one week prior to the providers first day.
- First Day Details - Site requires completion of EMR Modules and training, before first day details can be released.
- All candidates must complete the following EMR questionnaire and detail it in the notes section of the candidates submission at time of presentation.

Credentialing Information:
- Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days but typically much less time if everyone is responsive. Site prefers to complete within 30 days.
