Internal Medicine / Family Practice Locum Opportunity in California

Job Details & Schedule

• Specialty: Internal Medicine (IM) / Family Practice (FP)

• Start Date: October 07, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing (30-day mutual notice required for assignment termination)
• Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Coverage Type: Outpatient / Clinic Only (No call)

??Patient Volume & Clinical Scope

• Patient Census / Volume: 18 patients per day (PPD) minimum
• Patient Population: Mix of Pediatrics and Adults (Will accept Family Medicine-only physicians who treat all ages)
• Clinical Duties: Routine outpatient primary care, including chronic pain management
• Chart Closure Expectation: Within 72 hours of encounter

Requirements & Credentials

• Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) preferred; Board Eligible (BE) considered within 5 years of residency completion (MD or DO accepted)
• Licensure & Registrations: Active California (CA) license & active DEA required prior to start date
• EMR System: Epic
• Submission Guidelines: Candidate CVs must include explicit Month/Year work history with all employment gaps accounted for
• Credentialing Timeline: 60+ Days (Typical timeframe 30–90 days; ~6 weeks standard with timely documentation)

Mandatory Pre-Start Immunizations

• 2022–2023 Flu Vaccine
• TB Status / Chest X-Ray (Results within 90 days of start date)
• Tdap Immunization (Within the last 10 years)
• Positive Titers or Complete Series for:
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Hepatitis B
• Varicella Zoster (Chickenpox)
