HOT JOB: Locum Tenens Hematologist / Oncologist
Start Date: September 28, 2026 – September 24, 2027 (Ongoing coverage with permanent potential)

Credentialing Timeline: ~60 Days (Fast-track / Temporary privileges available)
??Schedule & Shift Details
- Work Week: 4 shifts per week (8–10 hours per day, depending on volume)
- Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
- Confirmed Need: Ongoing 1-year contract covering Sep 2026 – Sep 2027 (Initial immediate coverage needed 9/8/26–10/30/26 & 11/16/26–11/22/26)
- Call Coverage: Beeper call only (phone consults for established patients; light volume of 2–5 calls per week; 1-hour response time required)
Clinical Environment & Patient Volume
- Patient Volume: 12–15 patients per day
- Facility Setting: Community Hospital / Outpatient Oncology Center (Stroke-certified, non-trauma)
- Team Structure: Joining an established team (not solo coverage) alongside 3 permanent HemOnc providers, 1 NP/PA, 6 RNs, and 6 administrative staff
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Hematology/Oncology (Fellowship required)
- Licensure: Active Virginia State Medical License
- Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and ABLS
- Ideal Candidate: Preference given to long-term commitments and local/driving-distance candidates
