Position: Locum Tenens Mammographer / Breast Imaging Radiologist
Location: Michigan
EMR / Systems: Cerner EMR, Change Health PACS (Migrating to Sectra PACS)
Start Date: ASAP (Ongoing Coverage)
Credentialing Timeline: ~90 Days
?Schedule & Shift Structure
- Work Schedule: 2–3 Days per Week (2–4 Weeks per Month)
- Shift Times: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Coverage Type: 100% Onsite Outpatient Breast Imaging (No Call / No Evening Hours)
Clinical Scope & Workload Distribution
- Daily Case Mix Breakdown:
- Screening Mammography (45%–55%): ~35–40 screens per shift
- Diagnostic Imaging (25%–35%): Diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI (Comfort with same-day diagnostic workups required)
- Procedures (15%–25%): Image-guided biopsies, needle localizations, and aspirations
- Compliance & Collaboration: Strong proficiency in BI-RADS reporting and MQSA standards; excellent patient-facing communication required for direct result delivery; close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (breast surgeons, oncology, technologists, and RNs).
Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements
- Candidate Restriction: LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
- Board & Fellowship: Board Certified (BC) in Diagnostic Radiology with formal Breast Imaging Fellowship training
- Licensure: Active Michigan State Medical License
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS)
