The Interventional Cardiology Practice is in search of Part Time Locum Tenens due to Provider On Vacation.
Onboarding:
While the typical onboarding process takes up to 90 days, due to the urgency of these needs and the upcoming start dates, we’ve received approval to bring on a new locum more quickly for the right candidate. To expedite the process, we will prioritize candidates with an active Kentucky license and a clean malpractice history and those who can work more dates for ongoing coverage.

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS,
Epic (EMR) Experience
Required Experience in:
Ischemic heart disease (percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty), stent placement, coronary thrombectomy)
Valve disease (valvuloplasty, percutaneous valve repair or replacement)
Congenital heart abnormalities (repair of atrial and ventricular septal defects, closure of patent ductus arteriosus, angioplasty of the great vessels).
They perform interventional procedures such as balloon angioplasty and are skilled in the use of various cutting and laser devices to remove plaque build-up from arteries.
Case Logs: Must be able to provide case logs to show current competence and evidence of fifty (50) coronary intervention procedures in the past 12 months or successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited cardiology fellowship which included training in interventional/invasive cardiology within the past 12 month.
Setting of Care: Inpatient/ clinic if needed for consultation (located on campus)
Hospital Bed Count: 250 full 150 medical beds
Cath lab: 2 rooms
Patients seen per shift: varies based on cases and acuity
Avg Unit Census: 70-90 average
Will Locums be sole provider: yes.
Is there other support start for Locums: (if so what): APC available to assist 8-10 am every morning then goes to the clinic till 3 then helps after 3 pm. If urgent she can leave the clinic to assist.
Are intensivists on staff 24/7: yes
