Infectious Disease Locum Opportunity in North Carolina

• Specialty:  Physician – Infectious Disease 
• Start Date:  02/16/2026
• Contract Length:  26 Weeks, with option to extend 
• Shift Details:  Monday through Friday: 8A – 5P  

Work Details:  

• Will float between Moses Cone & Wesley Long
• Support staff:  APP at Moses. Solo at WL  
• Amount of coverage needed per month: average 1 week per month 
• Patients per day:  about 20 patients per day (varies)  
• Patient population/age:  Adults 
• Department description:  Infectious Disease 
• EMR:  EPIC 
• Special procedures: TBD  
• Skills required:  Rounding at the hospital and answer infectious disease questions and consults. Evaluating and managing complex infections (e.g., sepsis, osteomyelitis, endocarditis)

Practice Setting:  

• Inpatient

Requirements: 

• Board Certification:  BC in Infectious Disease 
• State license required:  Yes, State of NC 
• DEA:  Yes 
• Certifications preferred: N/A   
• Certifications required:   BLS, ACLS 
• Minimum experience required:  Provider needs to Infectious Disease trained 
• Credentialing Timeframe:  60 – 90 Days
