Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a long-term, ongoing inpatient assignment in Missoula, Montana. Operating under a collaborative hospitalist model, this role covers an intimate 12-bed unit and a small partial hospitalization program. The facility is seeking dedicated 7-on/7-off block coverage to bridge their patient care needs until a permanent provider is onboarded.



?Flexible Schedule Options

The facility is highly accommodating and will tailor the 7-on/7-off rotation to the provider’s structural preference:

  • Option A (Standard 8-Hour Model): * Monday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM inpatient rounding (8 hours guaranteed per day).
  • Weekend night beeper call.
  • Option B (12-Hour Daily Model): * Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts).
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts).
  • Weekend night beeper call.
  • Overtime Policy: Overtime premium rates apply after 12 hours worked per day.



Clinical Scope & Volume

  • Inpatient Unit: 12-bed child/adolescent acute unit.
  • Age Demographic: Patients 12 years and older. The provider will also manage general adult psychiatric cross-coverage when needed. (Pediatric-only providers cannot be accepted).
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Occasional coverage of the facility's school-year PHP program (maximum census of 10 patients).



Requirements

  • Boards & Certification: Board Certified (BC) Only in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Exceptions: Will consider a recently completed C/A Fellowship graduate or a Board Certified General Psychiatrist with extensive, documented C/A experience.
  • Exclusions: Board Certified Pediatricians without formal psychiatric backing will not be considered.

Licensure: Active Montana (MT) Medical License or an active, assignment-ready IMLC status.
